Our Mission to craft Technical, Effective and Unique websites

Did you notice how quickly this page loaded? Try it again.. Notice how there is no page refresh? The technology we use is modern and state of the art, also know as a static-site generator. It is up to 50-75% faster than other options built using Content Management Systems such as Wordpress and site builders like Square Space, Wix etc. To get that speed increase using these technologies you need plugins and further customisations. The technology we use comes with this functionality and many more speed and security benefits out of the box.
When you consider that web sites with a loading time of 5 seconds or less have 70% longer average sessions and an average bounce rate of 9% meaning potential customers can stay engaged with the content on your website. The average load time of a website in 2018 was 10 seconds so you can start to see why this is important. Our websites have an average load time of 0.6 - 1 second and 0.2 seconds between pages. That's fast!
Security is important, another major benefit of using these technologies is that we are removing the back end which removes a lot of the potential vulnerabilities. The back end is where all the important data like credit card information would be stored if were using a service like Wordpress. You still have a 'back end' if running a content-driven site but there is no server running 24/7 hosting the website and your data. It becomes decoupled and this in turn greatly reduces any potential attack area to be essentially non-existent.
Location is another factor especially if your business has a global reach. Our websites are hosted on a CDN (Content Delivery Network). This means that if you had a blog to do with fashion, in Ireland. People in Ireland would be grabbing the content ( images ) from a server in Ireland or the EU but if someone in the US were to visit your website they would get the content from a server in the US. Traditional websites have one server in one location.
Search Engine Optimisation is the process of improving your websites search rankings. It is one of the best ways to increase the level of traffic to your website outside of promotion on social media and content strategy. We accomplish this by using rules, titles, descriptions and keywords (however keywords are becoming less important in SEO) across the pages within your website so search engines can index your website.
Along with these ‘behind the scenes’ rules we have content or on-page SEO which is associated with the structure of your website and the content it displays to the user. Search engines ‘crawl’ this information and rate your website based on this. Having well-structured HTML markup (our job) and good descriptive content about you and your business (your job, but we can help you with that if it’s not your thing) is one of key parts in how your website will show up in search engine searches. We use Google’s audit tools such as Search Console to ensure SEO is the best it can be.
Accessibility is also another important factor which itself has a knock-on effect on how search engines rank your website. Our websites are built with these factors in mind giving people with auditory, cognitive, visual and physical limitations the ability to have a positive experience on your website. We use accessibility tools to make sure our websites meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) which not only ensures a great user experience for people with limitations, search engines will rank you better for it.
Building from scratch
We don't use templates. Nothing satisfies us more than creating something amazing from nothing but just an idea. We love being able to bring our clients vision to life in the most creative way possible. We use modern design and wireframing tools and agonise over our designs just as much as we do over our code. Businesses are varied too so we always add a unique touch to each website to allow it to stand out from the crowd.
Like our tech, we also keep up to date with the latest trends in web design ensuring our designs are sleek and modern. If you don't have any vision of what you would like your website to look like, don't worry! You can be hands-off and we can take care of everything but we have built up a plethora of design resources over the years which will enable you to see your vision for your site.
Along with this we also make sure our websites are built for every format including mobile, tablet and desktop. In Ireland, mobile and tablet web use take 60% of the market share while desktop taking up 40%. And when you consider 85% of adults think that a company’s website, when viewed on a mobile device, should be as good or better than its desktop website. Not having a mobile-enabled website can be potentially harmful to your business. We support all modern browsers including Google Chrome, Apple Safari and Microsoft Edge. Essentially our websites are device agnostic. And guess what? This also positively affects your SEO ranking.
